Morel mushrooms are one of the most prized fungi on our planet. A Morel mushroom, like most other fungi, exists as a mycelium (long elongated fungal cells join each other forming a network, a jumbled mass called as a mycelium) for most of its life, feeding on nutrients in the soil and absorbing them through its cell wall. A mycelium like any other organism reproduces, however with a very ingenious strategy by creating a spore factory-better know as a mushroom, the pickable Morel Mushroom in simpler words; which are spore factories of the Morel mycelium.
